HELLO, WORLD!

I am an infectiously happy Canadian biochemical graduate student climbing my way up the ivory towers of academia, specifically working with satellite cells in skeletal muscle tissues. This micro-blog will serve as my primary place to text-dump my thoughts and reviews on everything and anything from book and record reviews, to my opinion on the work I and others do in the field.

The things I find interesting include the intersection between science and art, playing video games for charity, making weird and quirky robots and automated laboratory systems for research with Python, a lot of internet culture comics, the art behind data presentation, and the hope Universal Basic Income brings. Projects I am currently involved with include Biotown, Let's Talk Science, Extra Life's Ottawa Guild, Data For Good Ottawa and Open Data Ottawa. I also love Jazz and Post-Rock.

The theme this blog uses is Ink by Codestag. The font I’m using is Domine by Pablo Impallari. The site is hosted with Lithium Hosting and the domain name ‘elucidate.ca’ was registered through Gandi.net whose business practices and customer service are incredible. I will always try my best to make sure every post is as Instapaper friendly as possible. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts.
